What is a compounding pharmacy?

A compounding pharmacy is a type of pharmacy that specializes in the preparation of customized medications by mixing raw ingredients. Unlike conventional pharmacies that primarily dispense commercially available drugs, compounding pharmacies can create personalized medications based on a patient’s specific needs.

Is compounding legal? Is it safe?

The Food and Drug Administration has stated that compounding preparations are both ethical and legal as long as they are prescribed by a licensed practitioner for a specific patient and compounded by a licensed pharmacy. Compounding has evolved with new technology ensuring quality control. Certification standards, testing, education, and evidence-based data demonstrate safety and efficacy.

Do you take insurance?

We are NOT contracted with insurance providers and therefore cannot bill insurance or coupon cards. We can provide you with an insurance claim form if you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept cash, checks, money orders, all major credit cards, and most HSA/FSA cards.

How long does it take for my prescription to be filled?

Non-sterile medications can take up to 2-3 days to be filled. Sterile medications can take up to 3-5 days to be filled.

Can you do automatic refills?

Yes, automatic refills are available upon request.

Can I request specific flavors or dosage forms for my compounded medication?

Yes, specific flavors and dosage forms are available upon request.

Can my medications be shipped to me?

Yes, we offer FREE first class shipping to all 50 states. Time-sensitive or temperature-sensitive items will be shipped UPS Priority Mail, or Priority Express.

My doctor is calling a prescription to your pharmacy, what should I do?

As soon as we receive your prescription, you will receive a call from us.

Can I have someone else pick up my prescription?

Yes, as long as your designated representative picking up your medication knows your name and birth date, can provide their personal identification, and is over 18 years old.
